The Islands.

St Alouarn Island Group.

This is a group of islands and rocks, of which St Alouarn is the largest.  They stretch south from Cape Leeuwin for about 8km, and are a wildlife sanctuary for seals and birds.

Leeuwin Marine Charters run regular tours to these islands.  The google captures below give you an idea of the sort of trips we have in mind. Flinders Island is the furtherest out (on the right hand image), and St Alouarn is north west of it. Seal Rock is the closest, and is seen on both maps.

Ocean Tours depart from Augusta Boat Harbour around 11.30am and go for approximately 2 hours. We travel out to the furthest island called Flinders where we view Australian Sea Lions.  We pass St Alouarn Island ( the largest ) and Seal Island where we can view the Cape Leeuwin Light House. The vessel stops to retrieve some cray pots and hopefully catch some rock lobsters.   There is also a high chance of viewing whales between June and August.
